ARCHITECTURAL PASSION

While Carl's dedication to serving his country and his hometown never wavered, neither did his commitment to his other passion -- architecture.  With an architectural degree and more than 30 years as a corporate management consultant, Carl enjoyed the challenge of finding imaginative solutions for his clients.  He soon channeled his architectural skills and knowledge into something much closer to his heart -- renovating his 1925 Mediterranean home.  From the barrel-tiled roofs to their original terrazzo flooring, Carl has become an expert on these distinctive homes -- both through the restoration of his own and with his involvement with the city's historical preservation board.  "They definitely have a unique aura about them that sets them apart," Carl says.
